Expired, cancelled or suspended licence 

If the driver’s or rider’s licence was expired, cancelled, or suspended or they are in breach of their licence conditions, at the time of the accident, they usually are not entitled to the following benefits:

• Loss of earning capacity 
• Lump sum compensation for permanent impairment

If the driver or rider dies as a result of the accident, their family will not be entitled to the following benefits: 

• Lump sum death benefits
• Child dependency benefits

An injured driver or rider may be entitled to reasonable medical, hospital and rehabilitation benefits.
