TIO MAC case manager
After your claim has been accepted you will receive written confirmation from TIO MAC detailing the name and contact information for the case manager assigned to manage your claim.
Your TIO MAC case manager will be your first point of contact in the future, about all matters related to your claim.
Your case manager will guide you through the claims process. They will let you know what benefits you may be entitled to, what to expect and keep you informed.
Your case manager will also work with your medical and rehabilitation providers to help you get the right treatment and services as soon as possible to support your return to health.
Working together
A medical practitioner will recommend the appropriate treatment for your injuries and refer you for medical and rehabilitation services.
We encourage you to actively participate in the health treatments recommended to maximise your recovery and health outcomes.
Your TIO MAC case manager will explain how to make the necessary appointments and arrangements with your treatment or rehabilitation service providers.
Please contact your TIO MAC case manager if you are unable to attend any treatment or rehabilitation appointments.
Your TIO MAC case manager will continue to review your treatments and support to make sure the services you are receiving are:
- effective and support your recovery goals
- lead to positive outcomes that will help you recover and to manage your injury
- what we can pay for under the Motor Accidents (Compensation) Act 1979
They will also maintain regular contact with you and your treatment and rehabilitation providers to:
- make timely payments for your approved treatment
- request medical reports and treatment plans from your medical and rehabilitation providers to monitor your progress
- ask you to attend medical examinations which may be required to monitor your progress to support the ongoing management of your claim
If you have any concerns about your treatment, please let us know or talk to your medical and health providers.
