Funeral expenses

MAC can help towards the cost of the funeral, including burial, cremation and monument following the death of a family member. 

The MAC Scheme covers expenses up to a maximum of the cost of the funeral or 5.2 times the average weekly earnings (whichever is the lesser amount). To see the current benefit amount, see the current benefits table.

If you are responsible for the funeral costs , we can pay the funds directly to the funeral service provider or reimburse you if you provide us with receipt of payment.
