NDIS and other supports

You may be entitled to benefits through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) for support or services not covered by the MAC Scheme.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

The NDIS is designed to complement existing personal injury schemes such as the MAC to ensure you have the support to meet your life goals.

The NDIS does not duplicate the benefits already funded MAC however, it may fund some additional benefits that you can apply for.

Please see ndis.gov.au for more information or phone 1800 800 110.

Aged care services

If you are over the age of 65 and not already a participant of the NDIS, you will not be eligible to apply for the NDIS. However, the Australian Government My Aged Care program is available to you.

The program can offer services such as help at home, short term care, or transition to aged care homes. The eligibility process for the My Aged Care program includes an application followed by an interview.

My Aged Care services can be contacted by visiting https://www.myagedcare.gov.au/assessment or calling 180020042.
